October 26th--Demolition Day
Doing our Part for the Environment....
After lots of preparation the motel was finally ready to come down. "Deconstruction" was going on beginning immediately after the Liquidation Sale.
Thanks to all who helped with recycling of the motel structure.
We were able to recycle and set aside for reuse all of the windows, doors, knotty pine, carpets, paneling, and wall heaters. Almost all of the metals of any size, cast iron, and wiring were collected. Bricks, 2x4s, anything useable was available.
By Demolition Day, much of the reusable material was taken out!
